Hello, I'm Selena~ If I like you, you should really drop by more often! If I hate you...well you get the idea go away.

((Unfortunately this blog is incredibly dead, along with Runemoon. I’m pretty sure some members have moved on to other groups too, and I’m honestly not sure if I feel comfortable moving this blog to another group or not. I may or may or may not make this blog into something else. I’ve even considered making a group myself because there’s really not many active ones out there, and I think it’s incredibly difficult to be an independent rper when it comes to harvest moon, I’m not even really sure if it’s worth a shot anymore.

But it was fun! I could just keep this blog as an archive of sorts who knows. ))

So There’s A Fortune Teller?-closed rp with Alicia

Selena smiled lightly, and gave a small nod. She jerked a little at the words, what did it mean? And she was terribly loud. But, she was still smiling, and that smile only deepened once she heard her fortune. Who knew how reply this source was, but, she felt like she wasn’t a liar,”Ah, that’s great to hear, thank you!” She let out a small hum, and then added,”I imagine you get paid for this, right? How much do I owe you?” She asked, before digging around in her purse for her wallet. If it was her job, well, of course the fortunes cost money, right?

"Mhmmm, you’re most welcome, dear." Alicia herself was wondering a little what type of unexpected fortune might be discovered, but she was mostly riding on the high she had gotten from being able to decipher the dancer’s potential future. Dismissing Selena’s words with a wave, she said “Ah, not yet. Of course I’m expecting payment, but only once my services are finished. We’ll deal with the money afterwards~" Right. The money. <3 As if Alicia could forget. But there was still a second fortune. And more fortunes meant more money.

Taking a breath in, Alicia examined the dancer, trying to see past the walls of Selena’s eyes into her heart. Closing her eyes again, she recited the words for the love fortune. "Jami lala, Walhallaaa…." This was much more difficult. The strings of fate, of serendipity, and of uncertainty were refusing to untangle. Her eyebrows beginning to furrow, Alicia worked at pushing through them. “Selena….” Alicia murmured her name, trying to get a better focus. “Hnn.. I think..” Opening her eyes, a sweatbead formed on her forehead. “It was hard to tune into your love radar, but I think I saw several.. people? Relationships? Anyway, there’s more than one person interested in you, and perhaps you’re not completely satisfied yourself…” Realizing her words weren’t pleasant ones, she stopped herself from rambling on by cutting it off short, “…so I suppose you should just put your all into making yourself happy, and and don’t be afraid to let things go if you’re giving too much. But there might not even be a real issue..” She sighed a little to herself. And she had been doing so well too. Giving an apologetic smile, Alicia said “I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help in that category, Selena…”

Selena gave a small nod,”Alright then.” She perked up a bit once Alicia started with the routine of telling her fortune again, and was a bit surprised by that answer. It’s not that Selena didn’t know she was good looking, (that was for sure), but it seemed as though most of the people around her were…settling down. Already taken. There were few people she could think of who might be interested, but decided it was best not to venture into who, and why. Completely satisfied? She’d be lying if she said she wasn’t completely satisfied, that was true. Selena’s and Luke’s relationship was previously rather rocky. It was good now, (she guessed? she hadn’t seen him in a long time, but they weren’t arguing.), but they really did just need..to talk. She could feel herself drifting further away from him. Which was not..good, to say the least,”No, it’s fine. I’d much rather you had told the truth, or what you could make of it anyway, then an elaborate lie. So, thank you.”

"Thank you." She couldn’t help but grin at the way she said it, she wished more people would do that,"Really? Well, yes, it is a lot of hard work, but I bet being a fortune telling has it’s problems too." Selena gave a small nod. And of course she knew she had good taste, but she decided to not comment on it, she knew she could sound rather stuck up, and surprisingly, was trying to work on it. Sort of. She admired the room, and took a seat, leaning her head into her hand, she let out a small laugh,"Financial works. And I guess love too, if that’s possible. I’m in a relationship, but it would be nice to know if it would work out. We don’t see each other very often, for some reason."

Alicia nodded knowingly. “Yes, fortunes can be finicky. Sometimes they need a nudge in a direction to settle down.” Heh. Alicia was pleased with the fancy way she had come up with to say that she believed in helping fortunes come true. Listening to her patron’s wishes, Alicia internally winced. She hadn’t practiced her financial fortunes very much, in fact, most of them ended up with ‘unexpected money loss’… heh. Oh well, she had practiced a little! And she would certainly do the best she could. “Okay, Selena, I’ll do your financial fortune first~” Closing her eyes, Alicia concentrated on saying the words exactly as she had learned. "Sim sala bim! Sim Sim Sim sala bim!" The fortune sifting through a fog came slowly to her, but it was clearly approaching. Her smile broke through her concentration as she said “I see it! I see it clearly! <3” Alica opened up her eyes and said “Your next source of revenue might be a little strange, but the fortune says to take full power of the oppurtunity and you can do extremely well! Take a bit more courage in your finances, and it will serve you well.” Brushing her bangs out of her face, she gave a smile. “That sounds pretty good, hnn~? I’m happy for you.”

Selena smiled lightly, and gave a small nod. She jerked a little at the words, what did it mean? And she was terribly loud. But, she was still smiling, and that smile only deepened once she heard her fortune. "Ah, well thank you~ I’m Selena! I’m sure I won’t be." She hoped she wouldn’t be. But she did trust her, she had heard some good things about her capabilities. She followed, and replied,"I’m Selena. The best dancer in Harmonica Town." Not to mention she was pretty much..the only. Selena quirked an eyebrow and was about to say something nasty, until the full sentence came out. She flashed a confident grin,"Well, thanks. I guess they are a little different than the clothes here, or even the clothes back at where I live, but I’m from Toucan Island, a rather tropical place. So, the style is just..different. And beautiful." She wasn’t complaining about the other’s clothes either, and purple was a favorite color of her’s it’s why she wore it as well,"I like your hat." And she really did. Selena didn’t think she would wear it, especially since she was constantly dancing, but it suited her well.

"Selena… What a pretty name." Alicia rolled the name slowly over her tongue, as she liked to do with a lot of other words. It sounded more extravagant that way, and Alicia liked extravagance. Reaching the landing of the stairs she walked down the short hallway, turning left at the first doorway. “Oh, a dancer~ I wanted to be one of those when I was little, but then I fell in love with the magic of fortunes. Besides, being a dancer is a lot of work. Tropical, hmm? I can see it~" When Alicia first heard tropical, she thought of Blessia, their summer island. Selena did look like she’d fit in there. And she noticed that the woman had a bit of a fiery and outgoing personality, which fit perfectly with the image of summer. Pulled out of her distraction by the compliment, Alicia smiled and said, “Thank you, I like it very much. You have good taste~"

The room’s walls were a soft combination of pink and purple, and along with two small beds, there was a small table with chairs. She motioned for Selena to sit at one of the chairs, and cleared a few books off of the table, depositing them at the end of a bed. Sitting down in the other chair, Alicia put her hands together on the table. “So? What kind of fortune are you looking for? Financial? Location? Weather? Aha, probably not…. Love~?”

"Thank you." She couldn’t help but grin at the way she said it, she wished more people would do that,"Really? Well, yes, it is a lot of hard work, but I bet being a fortune telling has it’s problems too." Selena gave a small nod. Can you speak any other languages?

"Yes, I can! I’m fluent enough in Hawaiian, and I know bits and pieces of Spanish."
